I knew from the first time we spoke that she was going to help me and my wife find our perfect first home. Vicki is extremely knowledgeable about the home buying process, and was very patient in explaining the intricacies to us new home buyers. I also really appreciated Vicki's candor in the process--as a first time buyer I was interested in seeing all the available options (including some fixer-uppers in bad shape). She graciously showed me any property I asked to view, but was very honest about what it might cost to actually get a house in the shape I wanted it. Lastly, Vicki really knows the Woodland area and the pros and cons of each neighborhood; I can't tell you how many times we went to a house and she had known a previous owner, or had a friend that was a neighbor--just those little extra details that let you know she cares about the community where she lives and works. Vicki made the home buying process as stress-free as it could be, and she was able to get us a great home well within our budget even in this current real estate boom. A true miracle! Needing to sell the house 'as is' (I mean seriously, "AS IS"), I had so many doubts. Meeting Vicki last August (three years after being given her name and seeing many good things written about her service--did I mention I was dreading the tasks ahead), she assured me it was doable to sell the property just as it was with only one or two main requirements on my part--City of Davis Re-Sale inspection and empty the house of my family's total estate stuff and my local past-life 4-decade business. Vicki was personable, patient, and checked in periodically as I worked several months on clearing away. She offered resources as needed along the way. We applied for the re-sale inspection ('just in case' we get to the finish line and actually put the property on the market--my thoughts. Vicki knew there was never doubt that we'd succeed.). Gently nudging, offering firm guidance and expertise through the process, and with the house almost empty, Vicki offered, "Shall we put the house up for sale....this weekend?" I trusted her professionalism and guidance. Within 2 1/2 days, we were fielding 5 offers in hand with the phones ringing, and had the house in contract well over asking price with the escrow closing within 10 days total from start to finish....AS IS. Thank you Vicki for your presence, your persistence, your guidance and humor and expertise, along with your willingness to work with me rather than on me. You truly lightened my load!
